British Dressage ** International Trainer & British Eventing Accredited Trainer
Equi-Sense Eventing & Dressage Training 2000 to date:
- Joint Director and sole Equestrian Trainer at Equi-Sense
- Equi-sense is the result of a perceived need for an equestrian facility for serious
minded students and competitors to work and compete within a user-friendly environment
- The creation of Equi-sense involved locating a greenfield site, designing and obtaining
relevant planning permissions for block of 16 stables, indoor and outdoor schools, outdoor
show jumping arena, office lecture and reception block and project managing the construction
- Currently training a talented group of riders of all ages, disciplines and levels, including 2 Para Equestrian competitors
- Trained National and International event and dressage partnerships: Novice to Advanced levels, including Shearwater Young Horse Finalist; FEI Eventing and Dressage Ponies and combinations to Regional Championships
- List 4 Dressage Judge, judging and ground jury duty at horse trials and dressage competitions
1993 to 2000:
- Sponsored by "Pizaz Sport". Two 4yo Dutch warm-bloods: "Pizaz Enterprise" and "Pizaz Girande"
- Trained and competed both horses in the dressage up to Prix St. George
- Trained by Jennie Loriston-Clarke & Sarah Whitmore
- Both horses won and placed in national competition from Novice to Advanced Medium, qualifying for the National Championships
- "Pizaz Girande" runner-up Medium National Championships 1997. Sold to Malaysia 1998. Silver medallist at South East Asian Games 1999. On Olympic 2000 Squad for Sydney
- "Pizaz Enterprise". Qualified Advanced Medium champs 2000.
1990 to 1992:
- Moved to West Wilts Equestrian Centre as Manager and Chief Instructor
- Riding accident and closed head injury, off work for 18 months
- In recovery (1992), ran London Marathon for Mark Davis Injured Riders Fund, raised £6,000
1986 to 1990:
- Chief Instructor: Bathampton Equestrian Competition Centre, Wylye
- Schooled and trained young dressage and event horses
- Clinics for problem horses
- Competed at show jumping, Advanced Horse Trials, and Advanced Dressage
- Trained with Jennie Loriston-Clarke and Sarah Whitmore in dressage
- Trained with Dick Stilwell, show-jump trainer to top eventers
1985:
- Chief Instructor at Chattishill Riding School, 50 horses, 7 staff, 15 students in
Equine Studies;
- Competed Advanced Horse Trials and Advanced Dressage.
1975 to 1985:
- Eventing and Dressage Training and Competition riding from own yard
- Produced British Junior Team & Junior European competitors in Horse Trials and Dressage
- Trained Pony Club and Riding Clubs
- Trained young event and dressage horses for sale at home and abroad
- Trained as a BHS Dressage Judge, now List 4
1972 to 1974:
- Private dressage competition yard, trained as Dressage Trainer by Herr Rockawansky,
(Chief Rider of the Spanish Riding School) and Robert Hall, (trainer to HRH Prince Charles,
trained by the Spanish Riding School) Pat Manning, (BHS Fellow and Dressage Trainer)
- Competed with success at National Championships, Novice to Advanced Medium. Competition
success at Intermediaire I
1971:
- Chief Instructor, Hanford Girls School, Child Okeford. 15 horses, 3 staff, 30 pupils
1967 to 1970:
- Apprenticeship with Lord and Lady Hugh Russell, Wylye, then Head Girl
- Pony Club A Test (Honours) & Horse and Hound Training Scholarship
- BHSI at 20 (1970)
- Competed International Advanced Horse Trials
- Completed Badminton in 1969 at 18
